How should beginners choose betting markets

A lot of newer bettors seem to jump straight into the most obvious markets like match winner or over/under, but I’m not sure that’s always the smartest way to start. In football, basketball, or tennis, there are usually many more markets available, and sometimes the simple option is actually the most overpriced one. For people who’ve been betting for a while, what do you think is the best starting point? Is it safer to stick with basic markets until you learn how odds behave, or should beginners try narrower angles if they understand the sport well enough?

Basic markets are not a bad starting point, especially for beginners who are still learning how prices react. At the same time, I like using bizbet to look at narrower angles when the sport itself is familiar, because match winner or over/under can sometimes be too broad. In tennis, for example, a player may not be worth backing to win the match, but a first-set market can make more sense if their serve rhythm starts strong. I think the best approach is simple: learn the main markets first, then slowly add smaller angles only when there is a clear reason.
